Current economic situation

Compared to few years ago, in the middle of the Celtic Tiger boom, nowadays the situation is completely different.  Ireland's economy is in slight recovery from a very deep recession caused by the property market crash and the global market slump. After a deep fall from 2008 to 2010, the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) rose by 1.3% in the first half of 2011.
